We support mapping up to 75,000 addresses before seeing a gradual loss of speed when zooming or moving about the map. We have clients displaying up to 110,000 addresses at a time but with minimal extraneous data aside from the address information.

We’ve hit this on three fronts:

1. Maptive’s spreadsheet editing tool, available from your map admin page, shows 100 rows of data at a time, with the ability to page through hundreds, or even thousands of additional entries with ease. Search, sort, edit, and export functions are also available for easier data manipulation.

2. Maptive ‘clusters’ markers together into a numbered ‘cloud’ to speed up map rendering and simplify viewing dense marker areas.

3. Addresses that already contain lat/long information are not re-geocoded, allowing Maptive to process only the remaining data much more quickly.

Each map comes with a Map Editor page where spreadsheet data can be imported, exported, edited and options set for the appearance of the map and data.

Addresses can be grouped/filtered by 100+ category types and viewed selectively using the sliding ‘Legend’ panel.

No, maps come without Google advertising and Maptive branding.

From your Edit Map page, copy and paste the HTML code (see image below) into the HTML of the webpage you wish to display the map on. The map width and height can be adjusted (by pixels or percentages) for a precise fit.

Yes, we can install Maptive offsite in most cases and do include a maintenance/upgrade agreement.

Yes. However, geocoded locations cannot be exported for external use without issuing a map, per Google’s Terms of Service. Please contact us for more information

Maptive continues to be developed and tested on the four major internet browsers – Chrome, FireFox, Safari, Internet Explorer.  In terms of speed and efficiency, Maptive runs most efficiently on Chrome and Firefox.  Get the Chrome plugin for Internet Explorer here.

Maptive’s software is developed using using PHP, MySQL, Javascript and maps are rendered using Google Maps API Vers. 3. We are a licensed Google Maps OEM provider and host through RackSpace’s state-of-the-art data centers.
